46-30 21st Street Tops Out In Long Island City, Queens

Construction has topped out on 46-30 21st Street, a nine-story residential building in the Hunters Point section of Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Lu Ning Architecture and developed by Chris Xu of United Construction and Development Group under the 21st Street Development LLC, the 95-foot-tall structure will yield 71 units, ground-floor commercial space, and a 23-vehicle parking garage in the cellar.

"The Long Island City real estate market is showing signs of life after the COVID-19 pandemic froze the nation’s fastest growing neighborhood a year ago. At the Skyline Tower at 3 Court Sq., monthly sales more than doubled in March with 20 units going into contract."

Closings Underway at Queens’ Tallest Building

The tallest building in Queens, Skyline Tower, is on its way to potentially breaking a record.
About 41 percent of the 801 units in the Long Island City condominium are in contract, according to Modern Spaces, which has been handling marketing and sales at the building since 2018. The first set of closings began last month.

"Construction is nearing the finish line on Long Island City‘s Skyline Tower, a 778-foot-tall residential skyscraper and the current holder of the title of the tallest structure in the outer boroughs. Nearly all of the reflective glass curtain wall has been installed on the 68-story building, with only the first two floors and the decorative crown awaiting the final cladding. Located at 23-15 44th Drive, the tower is designed by Hill West Architects and developed by United Construction & Development Group, FSA Capital, and Risland US Holdings LLC. Modern Spaces is the exclusive marketing and sales agency for the 802 residences, which are designed by Whitehall Interiors. The project is expected to cost $1 billion."
